Welcome to the website of the Enriching the Middle-East’s Economic Future Conference, held jointly by the Permanent Committee for Organizing Conferences (MOFA - Qatar) and the Center for Middle-East Development (UCLA - USA).

The conference provides a yearly platform for eminent experts, pundits, scholars, businessmen and decision-makers from all over the world to express and exchange their ideas and prospective thoughts on the Mediterranean region’s economic outlook.

This year’s debates will embrace a wide range of topical issues of great concern for the region, divided into a dozen sessions and workshops that will span over 3 days, such as “the Consequences of the Global Financial Crisis in Reshaping Economic Policy and Implications for the Arab and GCC countries”, “Ways to address food security challenges in the Middle-East”, "Investment Climate in the Region/GCC”, “Gas Fields in the Eastern Mediterranean”, “Why Did Greece Collapse?”, among others.

The Enriching the Middle-East’s Economic Future Conference will be held at the Doha Sheraton Hotel in Qatar from 20-22 May, 2012 and will be attended by over 200 participants from more than 62 countries and organizations.
